Learn about different paddle shapes, grips and construction methods. Choose to carve a Beavertail, Ottertail, Voyageur, Algonquin or Sugar island paddle.

Students will be taught the proper use of the bandsaw; but the majority of the work will be done by hand, using the block plane, scrub plane, spokeshave and rasp.

This is a hands-on class that will be mildly strenuous, requiring some forearm strength and endurance to be successful. Materials will be supplied ($40 materials cost). Safety Card not required for this course.
