Everything's a box (or how to make anything out of wood) - The Box Making bootcamp

Prerequisite: Bronx Park Woodshop Safety Card

In woodworking, it is said that “everything’s a box.” Realistically, this is true 95% of the time. Box-making teaches fundamental skills that apply to every woodworking project. You’ve learned how to use the tools in a woodworking shop; now, learn how to make just about anything out of wood. This intermediate class is the ideal next step after completing our Introduction class.

We will make 4 boxes, with each box teaching a different joinery method.

We will construct:

Slide-top pencil box with rabbet joinery
Mitre-spline box with hinged top
Boarded box (nails)
Rail-and-style box

Please note: Safety cards are required for this course
